You guys, I am just excited for 2017 to be over. I don’t feel like it was a productive year, mentally, physically, professionally, you name it. I also feel like 2018 will be better, but only if I put effort into making it better.
- Nutrition – During the last few months of 2017, I really started to take a look at the foods I ate daily. I started to cut back on things that weren’t contributing to a healthier lifestyle. I cut back a lot on sugar and meats and started to get more adventurous with my meals. I’ve been creating a lot of different healthy meals that I am excited to share with you in 2018.
- Relax – 2017 feels like a blur of stress and, if I’m being honest, depression. By now, it should be common knowledge that stress is detrimental to our health. I want 2018 to be more peaceful, I’m moving the focus back onto myself and in doing so I believe it will help keep my mental health in check.
- Read – If you are a long time reader, you probably know I love to read. I have a bookshelf full of books I need to finish. According to my GoodReads account (click here to follow me!) I only read 5 books in 2017! That just makes me so sad! My reading goal for 2018 is 50 books. That’s about 1 book a week, and completely do-able!
So, these are my three 2018 Focus Words, but I’m not done here.
I’m excited to start something new on the blog in 2018. Each month there will be a new focus word. I feel that this will be a great way for us to really learn and grow because (almost) each post in the month will have a focus on a specific topic.
