I recently started taking a collagen supplement. Originally I wanted to grow stronger nails and hair but I have found out that there are so many other benefits to taking a collagen supplement regularly. Read on and find out how a supplement can help YOU and then enter the giveaway below!

There are 4 main benefits to taking collagen:

  1. Collagen supplements help you build stronger nails. This is something I always need help with. I have weak and brittle nails that break easily. I don’t take great care of my nails but the supplements I have been taking have helped.
  2. The biggest difference I have noticed has been stronger and shinier hair. While I didn’t noticed any extra hair growth, my hair is definitely healthier!
  3. Better looking skin. Taking collagen can help you achieve radiant looking skin and a more even skin tone by helping hydrate your skin.
  4. Stronger joints and bones. Collagen helps to repair connective tissues. Muscles held together by weak tissues increase your chance of becoming injured. As someone who runs a lot and practises Taekwondo regularly, I am often concerned about my joint health. I feel a lot better about my joints when taking a collagen supplement regularly.

I have been taking NeoCell’s Super Collagen Powder and Super Collagen tablets for the past couple of months. I love that you can choose between pills (take 6 tablets a day) and a powder (1 scoop daily). I have gone through both bottles now and I think I prefer the powder but pills are convenient too if you take other supplements and vitamins.
