I wanted to add a little more to my walls. We have no decorations besides our shelves and hooks that we keep our trophies and medals on. This DIY Button Art project cost under $10 and it was fun to make. I am not really a crafty person but I like how it turned out.
For this project you will need:
- Buttons in the color of your choice
- Paint brushes
- Brown paint
Step One: Draw your tree/branch. I was not looking forward to this, I have zero artistic talent!
Step Two: Paint your tree/branch.
Step Three: Place buttons, then glue them. I laid all the buttons out before I glued them down so I knew where everything would go. I used a glue gun to speed up drying time. Be careful if you use a glue gun, I burned myself when glue went through the button holes!
I’m going to make another pink one, and a couple for my mother too. They are easy and fun to make, and at under $10 each they are an inexpensive way to customize any room! I like this project because anyone can do it! But if you have little hands helping you might want to skip the hot glue gun and use a safer glue!
